biography
Born in Poland, Malgosia (Pecherska) Chelkowska studied at the Graphic Arts Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Poland. She did her diploma thesis on Litography and Packaging Design. Since 1978 she has worked as an illustrator for various publishers in Poland and in Canada. Her artistic explorations also touched on drawing, painting and sculptural forms, some of which have appeared in solo and group exhibitions.
